Four Generations of Excellence

Our four generations of excellence in printing was initialized by late Mr. C. Mathai, who was an employee of the Government Press of the erstwhile Indian State of Travancore. After his retirement in 1920 he started the SR Press (Sahitya Ranjini). Later his sons late Prof. M Koshy and late Sri. M. Samuel started the SB Press (Sahitya Bhooshanam Press) in 1947 as a branch of SR Press with focus on book printing in english and malayalam.Later, Mrs.S. Koshy, wife of late Prof. M. Koshy took charge as Managing Partner and ran the press till their son Prof. Matthew Koshy assumed charge of the administration of the unit. He transformed the family owned business into a professionally managed company. Under his leadership the press underwent a total technology upgradation and in 1998 the business was formally incorporated as a private limited company. His sons.Er.Vinod M. Koshy, a printing Engineer and Er.Vinoy George Matthew, a Mechanical Engineer, represent the fourth generation and are responsible for bringing in up-to-date technical advancements to the press.
